Entry times and opening periods


- From April 15th to May 31st :
10am-12pm / 2pm-6pm, every day.

The site closes 1 hour after the last entry.

Please note: the shop closes at 12:45 and 18:45. The dungeon and the English ramp circuit close early at 12:30 and 18:30. Access to the drawbridge closes early at 12:50 and 18:50.

- From June 1st to September 30th :

9am-5pm, every day.

The site closes 1 hour after the last entry.

Attention: the shop closes at 5:45 pm. The dungeon and the English ramp circuit close early at 5:30 pm. Access to the drawbridge closes early at 5:50 pm.

From October 1st to March 31st :

9:30am-12pm / 2pm-4:30pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Monday.

The site closes 1 hour after the last entry.

How to get to the Château fort - Musée pyrénéen?

Visiting and getting around differently thanks to soft mobility

- On foot : 10 to 15 minutes walk from the SNCF train station and the Sanctuary

- By tourist train: Departure during the season from the Saint-Joseph gate of the Sanctuary

- By city bus:

L1: Ophite > Monge

L2: Lake of Lourdes > Bus Station

L3: Sarsan > Bus Station

TL: Lourdes bus station > Tarbes bus station

Seasonal bus lines (April - October): L4 (bus station > campsites) and L5 (train station > cave): stops near the Château Fort - Musée Pyrénéen: Sacré-Cœur/Marcadal/Halles and Bus Station. Bus schedules and stops are available on the TLP Mobilités website: https://www.tlp-mobilites.com

- By intercity bus

LiO LR bus 962: Lourdes > Bagnères-de-Bigorre

LiO LR 965 bus: Lourdes > Luz > Barèges > Cauterets. Seasonal timetable.

- By bike : electric Vélib' rental via the TLP Mobilités network (€1/30 min). Racks available in front of the Château Fort - Musée Pyrénéen. Bike rental: mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes at Bike and Py: https://www.bikeandpy.com/fr/contact

- By electric vehicle : Electric vehicle rental is available through the TLP Mobilités network and the "Citiz" app from the Lourdes Town Hall parking lot. - By car : Parking spaces: Place Le Bondidier, Rue du Fort, Paul Harris Parking (1 hour free parking).

 

Visiting conditions :

Dogs on leashes are allowed in all visitor areas.

- Stroller access is only possible on part of the tour route. Opt for a baby carrier for young children

- Photos allowed

- To ensure the safety of visitors, the Château fort - Musée pyrénéen is implementing the government's preventive measures:
