The Château fort - Musée pyrénéen is actively working to make the site more accessible and to ensure a quality welcome and mediation adapted to the greatest number of people.
Disability, social field and restricted public
Our mediation team adapts mediation activities and tools that are available to disabled people, social sector associations and the general public.
Our guides will accompany you as you explore the castle and the museum's collections through tailored tours and presentations. Off-site visits can also be arranged.

Visit

- Access to the castle is via a lift . The Castle-Museum is not fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. A limited tour is possible, including the esplanade, botanical garden, models, and two museum rooms.
- Permanent reception staff are trained in French Sign Language (LFS).
- A magnetic induction neckband is available for loan at the ticket office for people equipped with a hearing aid that has a "T" function.

- Provision of an exploration bag to discover the site by building, drawing…

- Descriptive guided tour, handling of models of the fortified castle, handling of objects related to agro-pastoral history, sensory discovery of the gardens.
Prices
Entry is free for the person with a disability and one accompanying person upon presentation of proof of disability.
Parking
If you have a parking permit, all parking spaces are free throughout the city. A disabled parking space is located a few meters from the ticket office entrance (not reserved). Others are located in a nearby parking lot. A turning area is provided for turning around large vehicles (under 3.5 tonnes).
